This fun and educational fungi foray will introduce you to the wonderful world of fungi led by Jane McLauchlin. The walk will help you recognise some common species and maybe a few rarer ones too. Jane will also explain the important roles that fungi play in our local ecosystems.
This walk will be led at a leisurely pace to allow us to discover a wider variety of fungi across the woodlands at Spring Park. The walk will last approximately one and a half hours with some time to review our finds from the foray.
Things to know:
- Please wear sturdy footwear and be prepared for changing weather!
- Dogs are welcome as long as they are on a lead during the walk.
- There is parking available - meet in the car park nearest 141 Addington Road.
- Families and children welcome.
- £3 per person - your ticket will help towards the management and conservation of the two West Wickham Commons.
- We cannot refund tickets for this event however if there is a need to cancel due to high winds etc we will try to move to another date.
