Join Ecologist and Mycologist Beverley Rhodes on a fungi foray around Diana Memorial Wood. We will take a slow wander around this diverse woodland site to find different types of fungi, which Beverley will help us to identify. You will be sure to come away enthused about fungi!
The walk will be suitable for all the family, however please note this is not a foraging walk.
The paths around Diana Memorial Wood are unsurfaced so unfortunately this event is not wheelchair accessible and may be unsuitable for people with limited mobility - please contact us before booking if you have any queries or concerns.
Please meet at Albert Village Lake Car Park (219 Occupation Road, Albert Village, Swadlincote, DE11 8HD) for 2pm to start the walk which will last approximately 3 hours.
Parking is free; there is a 2m height barrier which can be opened with advance notice. Please contact us on 01283 551211 or enquiries@nationalforest.org if this is required.
Please note that there are no toilets or refreshment facilities on site.
We look forward to seeing you there!
