Fungi guided walk (number 4)

The event will involve a slow ramble through old pasture fields and woodland of a traditional hill farm, located in a very picturesque setting of the Quantock Hills. Some of the terrain is quite steep so good mobility is needed. Sturdy foot wear should be worn, such as walking boots or Wellys. Obviously the weather cannot be ordered, so come equipped as you would for a serious outdoor hill walk, with warm clothes and waterproofs. The group will look for fruiting fungi and Pete will identify and provide a commentry on specimens found.

At the finish of the walk there will be an indoor plenary, with some refreshments, so build in enough time to your schedule, to enjoy that without having to rush away at the end.
