Beginner-friendly guided walk of the mushrooms and fungi of Nunhead Cemetery
Join mycologist Clifford Davy for a stroll through the habitats of the cemetery, to appreciate the beauty and diversity of fungi. It's a combination of education, exploration and enjoyment of discovering mushrooms and toadstools.
This activity will focus on learning about the different fungi species, their habitats and their roles in the ecosystem.
If you have a hand lens, bring it along, to examine smaller specimens and see greater detail, as a means to identification.
The Fungus Foray will be held on Saturday the 27th of September 2025. Attendees should meet at the Friends of Nunhead Cemetery cabin, accessible from the Cemetery's Linden Grove entrance at 1pm.
