Funky Booze " Second Chapter "

A couple of years ago, we launched the inaugural chapter of Funky Booze, an entirely new festival in Edinburgh with spirits, food, whisky masterclasses, craft, and live music. With spirits flowing, happy faces, and great chat and music ringing throughout the grand hall, our message to both Dry January and the wintertime dreich and was loud and clear: “haud yer wheesht”.

So, of course, we want to do it all again! We’ll be back at the same great venue, Assembly Roxy, with more food, more music and, most importantly, more booze!This time , we’re thrilled to have the huge support of three fantastic sponsors , such as Walkie-talkie Brewery, Woodrow's of Edinburgh and The Scotch Malt Whisky Society (Queen Street). Thanks to them , expect bolder flavours , New Experience , and an even funkier celebration.

Funky Booze “Second Chapter” is happening on Saturday, 31st of January in 2026. It’ll be here before you know it, and we’ll be sharing more about what’s in store in the coming weeks.

The event runs over two sessions of 3 hours each, and you’re welcome to join one or both!

Feeling hungry? No worries — make a pit stop anytime at our food stands, serving delicious bites throughout both sessions.

Need a wee break? Take a seat, relax, and enjoy live music from our band performing all day to keep the good vibes flowing.

• Meet Mike Billet – listen to Mike read from his book Peat and Whisky: The Unbreakable Bond while you sip a couple of drams.

• European Friends – explore some rare and unique European drams, rarely seen in the UK!
