The event will focus the concept of place in further education and skills and the possibilities of local partnerships in improving skills provision and productivity. We are delighted that Preet Gill, Member of Parliament for Birmingham Edgbaston, will provide a keynote address, which will be followed by a panel discussion, chaired by Matthew Taylor Chief Executive for the RSA. featuring:

FETL is an independent think tank and charity working to strengthen and support the leadership of thinking in further education and skills. For too long, further education has been under-researched, under-theorised and under-understood. We have worked with College CEOs and Chairs across the UK, as well as the Social Market Foundation, IPPR, Policy Connect, the RSA, the Association of Colleges and others to deliver research examining all areas of the further education, skills and employment sectors.
