Join Sarah Quick and Sarah Aumayer for one of their popular fused glass workshops where you can make your own fused glass for yourself or as a gift. You can make 2 CHRISTMAS SHAPES or a single DOUBLE CURVE SHAPE.
You decide on the day whether to make 2 Christmas shapes, a Christmas tree 15cm x 7cm and a bauble 7cm diameter or a single 23x7cm piece melted on a mould to create a double curve.
Suitable for complete beginners as well as those who’ve caught the fused glass bug!
This workshop is not suitable for children and we only accept bookings for people aged 16 and over. Additionally anyone under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult who also has a place booked on the workshop.
In this workshop you'll create your own design on a pre-cut flat piece of glass. Sarah & Sarah will have lots of ideas to inspire you, including a selection of photos and their own work. You'll be shown some basic cutting techniques to create your shapes, and give you tips on how best to get the finished look. Uncomplicated designs tend to work best.
There will be the option to create an additional item on the day if you have time. The price, £20 or £10 will depend on the size of glass chosen (and is subject to availability).
Custom made wooden stands can be purchased on the day if you'd like to display your glass. Payments can be made by cash or card.

This workshop will be run on the premises of Christchurch Church, 16 Montpelier, Weston Super Mare BS23 2RH.
PLEASE NOTE - "The Sarahs" will take your finished piece away to be fused in a kiln. It will be available for collection a couple of weeks after the workshop. On the day you'll be given details of collection choices.
Refunds and cancellations - no refunds will be given if you cancel less than 7 days before the event. If the event is fully booked, we will operate a waiting list and you'll automatically be sent an email if a space becomes available. You can also choose to have your item(s) posted to you for an additional charge of £5 payable on the day. Any items posted will be packaged in accordance with Sarah's normal standards but no responsibility can be taken if an item is damaged in the post.
