Dip your toe into the exciting world of fused glass jewellery! In this short course led by professional glass artist and tutor, Annette Daly, you will make up to 4 simple pieces of beautiful fused glass jewellery (two pendants and a pair of earrings or 3 pendants).
There will be a wide selection of Bullseye glass and accessories (the best fusing glass in the world) for you to use including some accessory glass unique to Annette Daly Glass. No glass cutting is required for this class although I will demonstrate cutting and you can have a go if you wish as it is fun skill.
This course is suitable for both adults and children (from 5 years +) and no previous experience of glass is required. Children under the age of 12 should be accompanied by an adult who can either book their own space and make their own piece or come along for free to supervise.
Your jewellery will be fired in a specialist kiln and will be available to collect from Arthouse or my Plymouth studio 2 weeks or so after the course (or they can be posted to you, charged at cost.) The class price also includes a selection of basic jewellery findings to finish your pieces (these can be upgraded to sterling silver for a small fee.) Your findings will be attached to your glass jewellery so they will be ready to wear when returned to you.
Booking is essential. The class will be run in a small group to ensure lots of individual attention and is subject to a minimum number of attendees. If not enough people sign up, you can transfer to another date or get a full refund.
Venue: The workshop will take place at Arthouse, South Brent which is based in a Victorian school building called South Brent Old School Centre, TQ10 9BP. Arthouse is the pink building on the left. There is limited free parking at Arthouse or lots of free parking at Station Road car park which is a 5 minute walk from Arthouse. Please arrive at least 10 minutes before the workshop is due to start.
