Fusion Glass Art workshop with Lucy Dorrian

Lucy Dorrian has worked in glass for over 6 years as part of the Open Studio at Glasgow Art School.

Previously Lucy has worked in printmaking sculpture and painting with a focus on line work, abstraction and life drawing.

Fused glass workshops

Fused glass is the joining together of pieces of compatible glass at high temperature, usually using a kiln. We will explore this artistic technique to produce one or two small pieces of layered glass such as a 10 x 10 cm picture or small piece of jewellery or decoration using different types and colours of glass to create abstract shapes. Your finished piece will then be taken away and fired to a smooth finish.
