Event description
Future Directions, Impact and Policy Planning: BRIDGING DISTANCE IN THE CREATIVE INDUSTRIES

About this event

A workshop on policy plans, impact work and on future directions for research.

Workshop leads: Prof Pascale Aebischer, with Prof Victoria Tischler, Dr Rachael Nicholas and Dr Karen Gray

Who is in this group? This workshop brings together researchers who have worked with artists and stakeholders in the creative industries to find new ways of doing culture, whether through digital innovation or through rethinking analogue approaches to creative practice. They are concerned with the employment of freelancers in the industry, with the impacts on mental health and nurturing of communities that have been possible because of transformations in the sector.

Purpose of the workshop: The workshop will enable you to find out about some of the key research impacts of projects related to your own and that you may wish to work with on the dissemination of your own research outcomes. It will help you formulate your policy impact plans, practice your ‘elevator pitch’ for your project’s impacts, inform the AHRC’s strategic thinking, and help us support your policy and impact work as your project comes to an end.
