Event description

Description

Now in its fifth year, our popular Future Fit event takes a look into what is happening in the world of communications today, and tomorrow.

We will discuss topics which will be ever more important in the coming years and focus on how communicators can get ahead of the game.

We’re going to be discussing a wide range of content. We’ve all heard a lot about ‘Big Data’ and ‘Analytics’ but not many organisations have worked out what this means in the people space. GSK’s Head of People Data Tim Haynes will share how they are now solving real business challenges through understanding and interpreting a range of employee data streams. Past IABC UK President Jane Mitchell will share some “hot off the press” research on what communicators think about Artificial Intelligence and consider the likely impact of AI in communications.

Colin Hatfield and Jon Hammond, both recent, and highly rated speakers at IABC World and EMENA Conferences will be speaking. Colin will lead a session thinking about how to help leaders find their voice and engage brilliantly particularly in these uncertain times which require a more human and emotionally intelligent leadership style. Jon will focus more on the individual communication professional, connecting us to our own futures - with some inside tips, tricks and techniques that will help communicators themselves to be fit for the future.

Lisa Moretti will discuss how is data impacting brand communication, and how will this shift in the years ahead? In this talk, Digital Sociologist Lisa Talia Moretti explores the world of technology from the perspective of a social scientist allowing the audience to shift perspectives by gazing through a new lens. Lisa’s insights are supported by original research undertaken for Rackspace, Mindshare, Adobe, ipsoft and To Play For in her role as Associate Lecturer at Goldsmiths, University of London.

As a round-up of the day, all of the above speakers will be joined by Amy King, co-founder and R&D Director of People Matter, a smart corporate wellbeing platform, for a lively panel discussion where you’ll have the chance to put your questions to the experts.

Take this opportunity to gain invaluable insight from those already in the future and collaborate with your peers as we forge the path forward for communications, together.
