What is Virtual Production?

Given the recent increase of interest in Virtual Production it has led to some confusion on what it is and what you can do with it.

In this panel discussion we will speak with some fantastic panelists at the cutting edge of Virtual Production and hear about their own work exploring this new technology. They will discuss what is virtual production, the benefits and challenges of this exciting innovation, the impact on the TV and Film industry and its growing use and relevance for the creative industries.

Chaired by Elana Campbell, MyWorld's Studio Manager. After the panel discussion, we will introduce our two new WECA funded Skills Bootcamps in Virtual Production.

Skills Bootcamps:

These are a fully-funded (free of charge subject to eligibility requirements) opportunity for those working in the creative industries (or looking to do so) to gain valuable new skills in Virtual Production and further their career development by accessing industry relevant training.

The Skills Bootcamps will be delivered by the University of Bristol in partnership with leading Virtual Production trainer MARS Academy and specialist talent development organisation Gritty Talent. Additional partners include Rob Brooks, Accredited Unreal Engine trainer (for the Skills Bootcamp Virtual Production with Unreal), and Paul Cameron, Accredited Sony trainer and CVP (for Skills Bootcamp in Virtual Production with Sony VENICE 2).

Learners can apply for the following Skills Bootcamps:

Skills Bootcamp Virtual Production with Unreal -100 hours
Skills Bootcamp in Virtual Production with Sony VENICE 2 - 60 hours

The Skills Bootcamps will be open for application on 23 September until 09:00 Weds 23 October.
