We invite colleagues across UCL to an online all-staff event where we will present the Target Operating Model (TOM) for the future of UCL Timetabling Services. This event is open to all staff and stakeholders with an interest in enhancing timetabling and improving the experience for students and staff.
Why This Matters
In line with UCL’s Strategic Enabling Priority to significantly enhance the student education experience, we are embarking on a major transformation of practices, policies, processes, and underlying systems that feed into the timetabling services at UCL. This work supports UCL’s ambition to align with sector best practice.
What’s Changing?
Following widespread engagement and a review of the current operating model, we have developed a future-state TOM to address institutional dissatisfaction and known challenges.
The future state of the Timetabling Service aims to:
✅ Improve student and staff experience
✅ Deliver greater efficiency and consistency
✅ Support delivery of UCL’s 2022–27 Strategic Plan, and Academic Ambition.
Get Involved
During the session, we will:
· Present the proposed model and roadmap
· Invite questions and feedback
· Explore how we can deliver meaningful change together
We look forward to your input as we shape a more joined-up, efficient and modern timetabling service for UCL.
