Event description

Description

Halton Housing is hosting a session to provide insight into its innovative and forward-thinking culture.

Following on from our highly successful Digital First Taster Sessions, our new Future of Work Taster Session will provide an insight into our innovative and forward-thinking culture that led to the design and subsequent relocation to our award-winning workspace, Waterfront Point. This, in turn, has transformed the way our colleagues work and how they deliver services to our customers.

Our approach has led to significant cost savings, enabling us to focus our resources on where they are most needed.

From removing individual offices and desks, scrapping the dress code and ripping up our social media policy to giving colleagues the freedom to work from anywhere and anytime through their ‘two device policy’ and agile working, we have delivered significant savings to our business at the same time as increasing both employee and customer satisfaction.

In May, our head office, Waterfront Point won the accolade of ‘Corporate Workplace Award’ for the North of England at the British Council of Offices UK Awards. The award recognises Waterfront Point as a ‘vibrant’ workplace along with its strong emphasis on the health and wellbeing of employees, and collaborative working.

“Work is something you do not somewhere you go. The use of the space at Waterfront Point reinforces this approach as somewhere people come for a purpose – to collaborate on a particular aspect of work or a project.” – Nick Atkin, Group Chief Executive, Halton Housing

Topics Covered:

  • Outline of our journey

  • The business case for cultural change

  • Demonstration of some of our digital services

  • Cultural and internal changes

  • See and experience for yourself our award-winning workspace, Waterfront Point

  • Questions and answers

The session will also include a tour of Waterfront Point. A unique, collaborative and flexible space, showcasing the culture and commitment to innovation offering a glimpse into the workplace of the future.

The session has been developed due to an unprecedented demand for reference visits, consultation and interest in Halton’s innovative approach, culture and office space. This has included organisations from outside the housing sector. It also builds upon the 300+ organisations that have previously attended the Digital First taster sessions.

The sessions will be facilitated by Nick Atkin, Halton Housing Group Chief Executive and Sue Baxendale, Halton Housing Director of Organisational Development.

Who should attend?

We are incredibly proud of our workspace and culture and are excited to be able to share this with other organisations looking to redesign their space and reshape their culture.

Employees from organisations of any size are welcome to book on to the session. However, key influencers and individuals within an organisation would benefit greatly from attending.

Attendees have the opportunity to network throughout the event. Light refreshments will also be provided.

Please note: we will use your email address to confirm details of the event, including directions and parking. We will also share with you presentations from the day following the event.
