Collective action

Learn about practical steps that health professionals can take to build a more sustainable health service

We currently stand at a point of unprecedented challenges and opportunities in the health and social care sector. For instance, in the UK, air pollution causes about 40,000 premature deaths every year. However, responding to climate change can bring huge public health benefits and help reduce financial pressure on the NHS.

This masterclass is designed to help doctors, nurses and other health professionals to develop their leadership skills and confidence to take advantage of the opportunity to build a more sustainable health system and future proof the NHS in a changing climate.

The masterclass features a programme of expert speakers who will bring you up to date on the latest thinking on sustainable development, climate change, health and care. It incorporates real-life case studies and provides practical advice on the steps you can take to protect your patients.

You will leave the day with a wealth of knowledge, ready to change your practice and support your colleagues.
