Design and build your first game — no coding required!
GB Studio is a visual game engine that lets you create classic-style games using drag-and-drop tools. In this course, you’ll plan, design and build a small playable game from start to finish.
What to expect
By the end of the workshop, you’ll:
- Understand the core components of game design (characters, levels, logic)
- Use GB Studio to create dialogue, movement and interaction
- ort and test your own playable game
This workshop runs from 10am to 3pm both days.
We'll also be providing light refreshments throughout the day; however, please bring your own lunch.
Who is this for?
Complete beginners aged 18 to 30. You don't need any coding experience, but you need to be confident using a computer, browsing the internet and saving files.
Still unsure? Test the waters first with: Game Development Taster Session
What do I need to bring?
If you have your own laptop, please bring this with you, otherwise, we have a limited number of devices you can borrow on the day (please indicate if this is required on sign up).
