About this event

A Future Shed learning session aimed at people wanting to get their organisation or group fundraising ready, so that your application isn't let down by not having the necessary things in place.

This session is led by professional coach and fundraisier Ruth Knagg.

What you will learn about:

  • governance
  • bank accounts
  • participants and audiences
  • including climate, wellbeing and the environment in your thinking and planning
  • thinking through inclusivity
  • policies that you may need in place, including safeguarding, equality, employment etc
  • risks, insurance

Who is this for:

  • anyone in Frome and surrounding communities
  • people who want to gain confidence in and knowledge of fundraising

After we ran this session in 2024, at least one attendee was successful in their funding application! And we had great feedback on its usefulness.

We are able to run this session for free due to our National Lottery Funding, so take the opportunity while you can!

Come to Edventure's Hub for a 10am start.

Edventure's Future Shed is part of Green & Healthy Frome, a partnership programme of Edventure Frome, Frome Medical Practice and Frome Town Council taking action on health and climate funded by the National Lottery’s Climate Action Fund.

Future Shed is about ideas and connections, collectives and enterprise - this is a space to meet up, connect and build relationships to effect change.

Frequently asked questions

Is the Welshmill Hub and Future Shed accessible?

Sadly, the Welshmill Hub is impossible to access for wheeled users, and we apologise for this. Due to the age and design of the building, we currently have barriers that will affect access for some. The Welsh Mill Hub is accessed via two short flights of stairs (around 12).

Is there a bike lock?

Yes! There are three bike lock hoops to the right of the driveway as you look at the Welshmill from the front. If you have a cargo bike, it might be easier to lock up to the blue metal gate on the left hand side.

Is there parking?

Yes there is on street parking, and there is a small car park on the left just past the entrance to the Welshmill, where Edventure's Hub is located.
