About this event

  • 3 hours

Snowsport Scotland are running a series of Futures Sessions at slopes near you.

* Offering skills to those new to Park & Pipe

* Progression to those already riding rails and jumps

* Fun times shredding with others

Futures Sessions are coaching days which act as an entry point into the performance pathway. Aimed at skiers and snowboarders aged 6 and above, who already take part in snowsports, whether as newcomers to freestyle or young people who want to learn some new tricks. It is an opportunity to gain some extra coaching outside your club environment, ride with a new group of like-minded individuals and push yourself outside your comfort zone.

Each Futures session will take attendees through a quick warm up on the slope with some basic drills before heading onto the Park and Pipe section to start the session. It will start with some simple moves for the newcomers and work up through the progression of tricks until we find a suitable level for the attendee. It will then offer those with some experience a chance to up their skill set and learn new tricks with coaches or just the chance to rip some rails and jumps.

Lift ticket and equipment rental from the centre (if required) is included. Attendees should be competent turning both ways on skis or snowboards and able to self ride a button lift.
