About this event
Snowsport Scotland are running a series of Futures Sessions at slopes near you.
* Offering skills to those new to Park & Pipe
* Progression to those already riding rails and jumps
* Fun times shredding with others
Each session will take attendees through the Futures Awards syllabus, starting with off-snow movement prep and preparing to learn on-snow tricks. It will then offer those with some experience a chance to up their skill set and learn new tricks with coaches or just the chance to rip some rails and jumps. Come to any two Future Sessions of the ten stop tour and receive free entry to the TripleCrown annual slopestyle championships.
No equipment is provided. Lift pass not included but some facilities will offer a discount on display of eventbrite email receipt. Attendees should be competent turning both ways on skis or snowboards and able to self ride a lift.
The Futures Award scheme supports entry level and grassroots engagement in snow sports. It introduces a self-driven, skills-based approach to learning both on and off the snow through a series of steps. Aimed at a younger audience (6-12 years), Futures Snow Award will stay with and nurture them as they grow into their teens.
Futures Sessions are coaching days which act as an entry point into the performance pathway. Aimed at skiers and snowboarders aged 10-18 years who already take part in snowsports, whether as newcomers to freestyle or young people who want to learn some new tricks.
