We are delighted to be able to offer a selection of FREE hands-on sessions for your pupils.

Please book for 2018/19 School Year by choosing one of the dates listed.

Each session is aimed at Year 9 pupils and can be delivere to a maximum of 30 pupils.For these session, at least 70% of the attendees must be NCOP pupils.

These sessions are:

1. *NEW* Tower of Strength - 1 hour

This session is an interactive challenge where pupils will work in teams on a maths based teamwork activity.

2. *NEW* Communication Workshop - 1 hour

This interactive workshop sees your pupils working in pairs and small teams, they will learn about different forms of communication and how to communicate effectively through various interactive challenges. This will equip your pupils to communicate the skills and qualities that they have to help them with the next step of the career journey.

3. *NEW* Presentation Skills - 2 hours

This session will require pupils to work in teams where they will take on different job role and develop a solution to a real world industry problem taken from a selection of briefs linked to key Lancashire sectors. The session culminates in all teams presenting their solution to the whole group and receiving constructive feedback.

4. Employability - Think Outside the Box - 1 hour

This hands-on session filled with fun and practical challenges. These challenges will test student's employability skills and give them a taste of the types of activities used in assessment centres, which many employers and universities now use when selecting candidates for apprenticeships or courses.

5. FutureU - Sector Skills Challenge - 2 hours

This session sees pupils competing in teams in a series of Sector Skills Challenges based on real world industry scenarios. The challenges are fun and interactive (including some LEGO building) and will develop skills such as team working, communication and problem solving.

All sessions will:

. Help students to understand what employability skills are, develop their skills and see the importance of skills for their future.

. Let students experience the type of activities that employers and education establishments use to choose candidates.

. Raise awareness of industry / businesses on your doorstep across Lancashire by meeting these employers and local Industry Ambassadors.

If you book a date we can deliver a combination of sessions in any one day to suit your timetable. You may book more than one date.
