About this Event

The Future.Works Lisbon Tech Conference 2020 is postponed due to health and safety recommendations. Meanwhile, join us at the Future.Works Remote Tech Week, from April 27th to May 1st. Follow the updates.

Here is why:

The future has never been so unclear. Due to health and safety recommendations, conferences and other events should be postponed… but they can still take place online in the meantime. The world is changing, so we will adapt and help our community of Companies and Tech Talent make the best out of it. Let’s all be Makers of Futures.

José Paiva, CEO | March 19, 2020

Times have changed. Everyone needs to change along, adapt and be resilient to make it out of this situation. But there’s also a need to stay strong, keep hope and embrace these changes as opportunities to improve, not just now, but after all this storm passes. More than ever, we need to be makers of our futures.

In this spirit, all our Tech & Work events for both Companies and our 150.000+ Tech Talent Community will be moved to remote mode. Life does not stop, and neither does work. Companies will still need to attract Tech Talent out there, and Tech Talent will still be looking for the right companies. It’s not a time to stop, it’s a time for opportunities.

We are preparing a revamped plan of (online) events focused on the Future of Work, more specifically on Remote Work, Remote Recruitment, Employer Branding, Career Development and Tech Talent Acquisition, with big opportunities for both Employers and Tech Talent.

These events will have a clear emphasis on Remote, as we strongly believe that more than a current necessity, it’s a clear part of everyone’s future. You’ll be receiving more detailed information on all this, and how you can participate to your advantage.

But we are not ‘Remote’ fundamentalists, far from that. Being together physically is a good thing (how we all miss it now, right?). We love organizing in-person events, having the pleasure to host the best two days of Europe’s flagship Future of Tech & Work Conference, where everyone gets the chance to be inspired by tech talks and boosted by workshops, learning new skills from the best and connecting with like-minded people.

The safety of our community is a top priority, and everyone must have a deep sense of responsibility for public health.

Hence, we are postponing our flagship event, Future.Works Lisbon Tech Conference 2020 (planned for May 29-30), to the 2nd semester. This will still happen for our 2,500 attendees, and the new date will be announced soon.

In the meantime, and to keep things rolling, we have the pleasure of announcing the first Future.Works Remote Tech Week, from April 27th to May 1st. A new fully remote events experience, where all of you will be able to attend online tech talks and workshops from some of the finest minds in the market. The program will be released soon. We’re hoping to see you there.

Crises like the COVID-19 demand not only responsibility but also creativity, courage, and minds geared towards the future.

Stay tuned to our website and social channels – we are preparing exciting online-only opportunities for you. And please do let us know if there’s anything we can help you with.

Our sympathies to all those affected around the world. And please, be safe, stay at home, keep your hope and your head up.
