FWN & Glasgow Canals Rides
Event Information
About this event
The 45minute led ride will take you down through the recently reopened Hamiltonhill Claypits Nature Reserve and alongside the Forth & Clyde Canal in north Glasgow. You will get a chance to see the extent of the impressive regeneration works which are taking place around the canal and how they improve links into the city centre and around north Glasgow. The canal side offers a fantastic route for walking and cycling with wildlife, heritage and plenty of green spaces. If you aren't familiar with the canal then come and join us to find out more.
Meet at Applecross Basin, Glasgow. Please arrive 15minutes before the start of the ride to allow time for safety checks and organising bikes. These rides are for adults and children aged 10years and over.
On the day there will be a number of other pre-bookable activities taking place around the canal as part of Glasgow's Doors Open Days.
