Fylde Youth Council is made up of young people aged 12-19 from across Fylde who are passionate and interested in making a difference in their community! They campaign on a range of issues, decided by the young people! Is there something you are particularly interested in, would you like to improve or change something? Come along!
They have recently consulted young people in Fylde on Mental Health to find out what young people know and understand. The youth council arrange different events to bring to gether young people and local councillors to provide young people the platform to express their opinon to influence change!
They are consulted on a range of issues by different organisations to find out what young people think – school nurses, trading standards (E-cigs, energy drinks), youth people's GP experiences and more!
We have recently elected young people into the roles of Member of Youth Parliament for Fylde, Emily Horberry and Lancashire Youth Council Executives Patrick Orosun and Cameron Hardie.
