G4C Yorkshire presents
Staying Out of Trouble: Risk Management and Dispute Avoidance in Construction Projects
Thursday, 9 May 2013 from 17:30 to 20:00 (BST)
Addleshaw Goddard, Leeds: Click here for location
Addleshaw Goddard's construction team will provide tips on how to manage risk and avoid disputes in construction projects.
Experience shows that often the issue is not the contract itself, but rather whether the contract has been followed by any or all of the parties. All too often, significant amounts of money are spent on negotiating and drafting detailed contracts that are not followed properly, or at all.
In these challenging economic times, the consequences of mistakes in contract management pose a real risk to construction businesses. Disputes are costly to resolve: prevention is better than cure.
The session will be interactive and is aimed at providing you with an opportunity to:
· meet with your peers in the industry;
· consider practical examples of common problems experienced on construction projects;
· reflect on why they tend to occur; and
· discuss how they can be avoided.
This event is key for anyone involved with or affected by contracts, whether they have just joined the industry or have been in industry for several years.
