About this event

  • 56 days 2 hours

This course is perfect for those who have done over a year of Gaelic already or who have built a good foundation with Duolingo and are looking to deepen their understanding. Students should have some confidence with introducing themselves and having a basic discussion about their own lives and preferences, as well as confidence using the present tense and some experience with the past tense. If you're not sure about your level, you can ask to be put
in touch with the course tutor to see whether the course would suit you.

Learners will take part in a variety of individual and group work, with activities using listening, reading, writing and speaking.

Recommended (but not required) resources: Essential Gaelic
Dictionary from Teach Yourself; Scottish Gaelic in Twelve
Weeks; learngaelic.scot/dictionary

FAQs

Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?

ID is required if you have booked a discounted rate ticket. We will need proof of age or proof of receipt on benefits.

There is not set minimum age to attend our classes - but anyone must be able to fully engage with the content of the class and we recommend children under 16 only attend classes when they are coming with an adult who is also taking part in the class.

What's the refund policy?

Refunds are available up to 1 week before the start of the programme.

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?

It is useful to have EITHER an e ticket or a print out to confirm a place, but we will have a full list of the people who have booked and paid, so any form of ID will usually suffice.

Can I update my registration information?

Yes, you are free to change your information, however if your booking ends up changing price, please contact us for help.

Is my registration fee or ticket transferrable?

Yes, but please contact us if the person you want to transfer your booking to is not in the same price bracket as you are.

Is it ok if the name on my ticket or registration doesn't match the person who attends?

Please contact us before the class to arrange a ticket transfer.
