  • Are you someone who enjoys meditation and journaling? And you would really enjoy an activity that allowed you to do both at the same time?

If the answer is yes to all these then this unique event might just be of interest...

WHO IS THIS EVENT SUITABLE FOR AND WHAT WILL HAPPEN AT THE EVENT?

This event is for any adult men and women over 18. This event has three components to it:

  • The Gallery Art Meditation
  • Journaling
  • Then a social mixer afterwards

We will meet up for the meet and greet at the designated meet up spot and head towards the art gallery. (The meet up point has been listed where we will all convene and then after 10 minutes move to the event venue which will only be disclosed on the day to attendees that have paid and turned up). This event is being held at a Gallery (entrance is free of charge) in the West End/Central London. You do not need to know anything about art to be able to attend.

The aim is to move through the gallery and head towards the art pieces that bring up a sense of calm or emotion in you. You are invited to bring your journal with you and write down what the specific art piece brings up for you. You can take a photo of the art work or just note the name of the artist and name of the art piece in your journal but the important thing is to sit with the painting in front of you and create a sense of calm and meditate on what comes up visually, emotionally and physically in your body. It is not about how many art pieces you can sit with, but rather being able to sit with 2-3 during the hour of the meditation/journaling and just notice the colours, shapes, etc... and what these bring up for you! The aim is to engage with all your senses when doing this. To heighten the experience of your senses you are welcome to bring a couple of fragrances that you can use on each wrist(optional) and /or something to touch (optional) while you are meditating on the art pieces. If you choose to go deeper you can imagine being the artist and how it would feel like to be painting or sculpting the art piece. There is no right or wrong way of doing this: it is simply getting in the flow of being present and aware, which is what meditation is all about.

Once we all meet up again at the end of the hour and head towards the cafe for the social mixer we will then get a chance to discuss what we journaled about (whatever each of us feels free to bring up) which always makes for fascinating, connecting conversations!

Each person is welcome to do the Gallery Meditation and Journaling hour by themselves or if you fancy partnering up with someone in the group you are welcome to do that too.

Ideal for adult men and women that want the chance to meet and chat with other likeminded people. If you're a creative person hoping to meet other creative people, then this event was curated with you in mind!

WHAT TO BRING WITH YOU:

  • A journal and a pen.
  • Your mobile phone or camera(optional)
  • Scented oil/fragrance (optional)
  • Two different textured items (e.g. something soft and fluffy, something hard an textured.Optional)

BENEFITS OF ATTENDING:

This 3-in-1 experience is for anyone who wants to try a new way of destressing, in a creative space and also get the chance to meet some interesting new people as well.

Enjoy a couple of hours dabbling in some creative relaxation and then get chatting and hopefully make new friends...!

Connected Exclusive Events was set up to run high quality events that do not break the bank!

The focus is simple: going back to basics and connecting to nature, self and others in a way that offers variety in the sort of activities offered, in London and Greater London areas.

  • With all the events only areas are listed and meet up points (with photos), making it super easy to know where we will be meeting up for the events. The event location will only be disclosed to attendees when they show up to the event on the day.
  • The aim is to create a community of amazing people who are encouraged to get together monthly: so the events are geared towards people who are intentional and actually show up to events!
  • These events are run simply. Meaning that unlike many events being run, there is no need to join Whatsapp groups to stay updated and no social media gimmicks will be offered to take part. During and after the events , who attendees connect with and how they choose to stay in touch, is up to each individual person. So the events are being run as phone/technology free-events. This means that it is encouraged (but not mandatory) for mobile phones to be switched off or in the very least silenced throughout the events until towards the end of the events when phones can be switched on. This is to ensure a better experience is had at connecting with each other without distractions and allowing for the possibility of being more present with others.

A wide variety of events are on offer, so there are options and choice for most if what you are after is an in person community where reconnecting with nature, oneself and others in what you're after and you're looking for it to be meaningful and fun ! Whether you are shy or an extrovert, do join in...a big warm welcome is guaranteed!
