GALLOWGATE FLAGS are once again hosting a great big Newcastle United quiz to raise funds for flag diplays at St James' Park. The last quiz was magnificently attended and enjoyed by all who attended. We raised £1,700 from the night and were able to put that towards a Giant Surfer Flag which will be unveiled against Aston Villa at home on Monday 20th of February.

The cost of a Flag of that size is about £3,200 so we hope to raise the whole amount for the next flag from this quiz. Tickets are £10 to ensure that we get as close to the amount needed to buyu another flag.

If you didn't attend the first quiz there are numerous high profile prizes to be given away and we have the full support of Newcastle United who, alongside many other businesses, donated some fantasic prizes that money couldn't buy.

We listened to feedback last time round and have moved this quiz to the weekend of the 24th of March, taking place on Friday night so many more people can come. It's international weekend so come and get your football fix with a host of local names in sports journalism as your Newcastle United knowledge is tested.

Teams are a maximum of four people per team and if you don't have a team then please come along anyway and we'll find you one.

We expect tickets to go quickly so please buy yours as soon as you can to avoid dissapointment.
