This conference, organised by Breakeven and its partners, will explore the impact of gambling related harms in the UK, it's impact on wider mental health and work being done by multiple agencies to support those in need.


We have a range of speakers, providing a comprehensive overview of issues across Sussex, and the wider South East of England, with a key focus on the support available and how local professionals can work collaboratively to address community needs.


Some of the topics that will be covered include:


  • Key figures around gambling related harms in the UK
  • Clinical treatment
  • Young people
  • Multi-agency collaboration
  • How to signpost and refer for support
  • Support in the Criminal Justice system
  • How individuals and organisations can help reduce harms


Alongside guest speakers, we will also have; panels including members of the National Gambling Support Network (NGSN) and partners, lived experience testimonies and time for networking.

Is the venue wheelchair accessible?

Travelling by train?

By Train - 12 minute walk from Worthing Station, which is just 25 minutes from Brighton by train and accessible from London.

Is there parking availible?

The Guildbourne Centre has a multi-storey car park with an entrance directly into Rooms from level 2. Click here for prices.

Are refreshments provided?

Yes, teas, coffees and snacks will be provided before the event and during breaks. Following the last speakers, a buffet lunch will be provided whilst attendees have an opportunity to network.
