About this event

Gambling related harm impacts many families across the country, including in Birmingham. Often harms are identified too late or not at all, and people affected are left feeling alone and that they are to blame. Sadly hundreds of people take their lives every year because of gambling.


Chapter One prevention programme provides information, training and support, formed and informed by people with lived experience.


Heart of England Fairer Futures Fund have commissioned the charity to deliver training programmes for professionals who may encounter adults at risk of/experiencing gambling harm and for professionals working with children and young people aged between 18 and 25.The training will give participants knowledge, confidence, skills and resources to prevent gambling-related harms and support those affected.


Programmes are free and will be delivered in online.

Please be aware this training will show gambling related imagary, audio and discussion of harm topics including suicide. There are safeguarding procedures in place to ensure delegates safety remains paramount.
