Frequently asked questions
Game design is an analytical process, most designers will learn the basics of art and programming to help, but this session is focussing on what it means to be a game designer, a completely separate role that anyone can get in to
This session is open to anyone, and we'll include a lot of practical exercises, but there is a lot of theory involved, if you think your kids have the passion for it then bring them along, but if you just want to give them an introduction to games development, we do shorter events for pre-teens.
Daniel has over ten years consulting others on game design, we'll be using a case study as an example, but we're happy to tailor examples and advice to existing concepts too as long as you're willing to share your idea with the group.
That's fine! We'll use a case study, one of our old games and walk through the process of world building and game design principles and narrative design too. We do this so you also get an idea of what it would be like working in a company as a designer, where you're given parameters to work around.
In addition to a Game Design Template and planning strategy for you to use on future projects, and a SWOT analysis to help with job applications, we're also giving away discounts to our Development Session that will delve deeper into technical skills
