In a world where young people are increasingly living, learning, and connecting online, youth workers have a critical role to play in creating safe, supportive, and empowering digital environments for young people.

This training series is designed to provide youth workers with the skills, knowledge, and confidence to embed digital tools into their practice while placing safeguarding at the heart of everything they do.

Session summary

This half day training session equips youth workers with the knowledge and practical skills to safely and effectively integrate online gaming into their youth work practice.

With a focus on platforms such as Minecraft and Roblox, participants will explore the benefits of gaming for youth engagement, learning, and social development.

The session will address key considerations, including safeguarding, managing online interactions, and setting up safe gaming environments.

Through hands-on activities and discussions, youth workers will gain confidence in using gaming as a tool to connect with young people while ensuring a safe, positive, and inclusive online experience.
