A special Game Republic "Game Changers" business networking event held in partnership with the University of York's NEMOG (New Economic Models and Opportunities for digital Games) project and kindly sponsored by Garbutt + Elliott Accountants.
Spencer Low, Producer, Strategic Content at Sony Interactive Entertainment Europe will be joining us to deliver a talk "PlayStation and You - Funding Opportunities and How to Publish", and there will also be an opportunity to ask questions and discuss your games. Spencer has helped bring 86 games to PlayStation so far, including Hotline Miami, Spelunky, Battlezone, Hellblade and No Man's Sky.
We will also hear from Louise Handley from 3volution Solicitors about IP protection.
Lunch will be provided at this GR lunchtime event, which starts at 12-midday at the Ron Cooke Hub, University of York.
In the afternoon from 2pm - 5pm is the NEMOG event, which Game Republic members are also welcome to attend, and will feature leading analyst Anders Drachen, author of Games Analytics: Measuring the Value of Player Data who will provide business intelligence and an overview of trends in games and player data. There is a panel afterwards that will focus on business models, disruption and future trends. The conference also includes an expo of new innovations in tech and gaming from across the UK created by doctoral students and teams exploring engagement, response, artificial intelligence and more. The NEMOG event will conclude with drinks and networking.
