During childhood learning through play is highly valued as a developmental activity. Learning through play, whether you are an adult or a child, can engage students and make learning fun.
In session 1 we will be discussing why learning through play is important, what are the features of an effective educational game, evaluating some examples and reflecting back on some of your own learning experiences.
Following this you will work in pairs or individually to create a game that could be used in your subject area. During session 2 you will bring your completed game ready to play with your peers, then evaluate what we have achieved and learnt.
You are welcome to bring your own devices or pen and paper to the sessions.
This is part 2 of a t part session. Please make sure you've signed up to both!
