Event Details

"In the early 1980s, legendary Billy Mitchell set a Donkey Kong record that stood for almost 25 years. This documentary follows the assault on the record by Steve Wiebe, an earnest teacher from Washington who took up the game while unemployed."

Please join us for a special screening of the King of Kong, a brilliant documentary that delves into the very origins of competitive gaming.  Funny and insightful, the perfect accompaniment to our post show discussion on the current eSports and competitive gaming phenomenon that is revolutionising the gaming industry.

Drinks, great company, a fantastic film, a post show panel discussion and all the proceeds going to Gamesaid.  What more could you ask for on a Friday evening?

Panel to include:

Michael 'ODEE' O'Dell:  Manager for Team Dignitas one of the World's largest and most sucessful pro gaming teams.

Nik Adams:  One of the world's first people to host and cast professional eSports events and now VP of Turtle Entertainment representing ESL and Twitch.

James 'Stress' O'Leary:  Pro-gamer and professional shoutcaster.  Recently Stress shoutcast the League of Legends European championship qualifiers.

All proceeds to support Gamesaid.
