Description

Ian Jeffreys world authority in the development of speed and agility and conditioning for team sports, where his unique Gamespeed system and RAMP warm-up protocols have been adopted by a wide range of coaches and organisations, is coming to Performance Ground for a one day workshop.

Workshop Outline

-Developing Gamespeed – what it is, why it’s crucial, and how to do it.

(Presentation) Delegates will be able to identify the need to take a Gamespeed approach to effective speed and agility training and to break down sports movement into simple patterns utilising the target movement classifications.

-RAMP movement preparation.

(Practical) Delegates will be able to apply the principles of RAMP based warm-ups into Gamespeed sessions.

-Initiation and Actualisation movements.

(Practical) Delegates will be able to select and apply a range of starting, direction change, acceleration, and maximum speed development drills

-Gamespeed – Transition and task based movements.

(Practical) Delegates will be able to identify development pathways for each of the key transition movements.

-Sports Generic Tasks and applied gamespeed.

(Practical) Delegates will be able to apply the range of movements developed earlier into sports generic tasks that develop skills applicable to a wide range of sports.
