ResLifeBU will be running our very own gaming club throughout the 24/25 academic year; this will be a club for both casual and the committed gamers and you're invited to our free launch party.

So, what does the gaming club have to offer?

• Unlimited access to all gaming club events (including social at a reduced rate)

• Snacks and drinks will be available with a lounging area

• The option to bring along computers to take part in other gaming

The ResLifeBU gaming club introduces a social side to gaming where you can meet like-minded people and have fun using the latest tech. Here at BU, we have a very lively gaming community, so get involved and join our adventure into the virtual world of VR and console gaming. It will be great opportunity to relax and have fun, from playing on the arcade machines to enjoying a board game with your new mates.

Overview

All of our social spaces are fully accessible apart from Lyme Regis 'The Loft' and Okeford House events. For any of our events in these halls of residence if you have any accessibility concerns please let us know and we can discuss making alternative arrangements. Students are welcome to join us in another halls social space if they feel that this would be better.

Event co-ordination: WhatsApp group chat

By purchasing a ticket to this event, you have consented to ResLifeBU creating a WhatsApp group chat with other participants. This means that we will add your mobile number to the group chat for this event, and therefore, your number will be visible to others in the group. The WhatsApp group will be managed by our events team and used to give you the full details of the event, including any changes. The WhatsApp group will be deleted within 24hrs after the event has taken place, unless students at the event request photos that have been taken – in this case, the group chat will stay live for 7 days, and then deleted. If you do not use WhatsApp, or if you don’t want your mobile number used for this purpose, please do not purchase this ticket through Eventbrite. Instead, email bpwhite@bournemouth.ac.uk to book your ticket. We will then use your email to confirm your space, and update you with any changes to the event, as we do within the WhatsApp group.
