About this event
Overview
This 1 hour webinar available for a limited time only, is open to anyone working within youth services, family services or formal education in Scotland.
Research shows that there is a connection between autism, harmful internet use and gaming. Due to the increasingly blurred lines between gaming and gambling, children and young people with autism are being exposed to further risks and harms associated with gambling.
In this webinar, we will explore the appeal of gaming and gambling to young people with autism and the impact this may have on their behaviours, mental health and wellbeing.
We will also discuss how to talk about gambling with young people with autism/additional support needs and share some free resources with links to specialist support.
