Event description

Description

Reach Every Generation are delivering a bespoke training package across Thames Valley as part of the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner’s Early Intervention Youth Fund project.

The full day interactive workshops are aimed at frontline professionals, to raise awareness and develop skills in relation to young people and gangs.

The sessions contain personal testimony from ex-gang members who draw on their own experiences, sharing specialist knowledge and focussing on practical elements of supporting vulnerable young people. For this reason, it would be appreciated if police officers attending this training do not wear uniform.

Some of the areas that will be covered during the workshops include:

• The emotional and psychological impact of gang involvement • A deep dive into the mindset and daily life of a gang member • The County Lines scouting process • Styles of approach • Risk management • Specialist strategic work with youth in gangs • The difference between male and female working • Professional anxiety • Multi-agency approach

Please note

There are limited spaces available on these training courses - please do not book multiple places under the same name. If you are unable to attend please ensure you cancel your booking at least five days prior to the event so someone else can be allocated your space. Failure to do so will result in you being charged £100 (no show fee).

Registration from 9.00am for a 9.30am start.
