Join us to learn and develop a variety of organic gardening skills and knowledge including pruning, seed sowing & saving, mushroom inoculation, composting, mulching and more!

Connect with the seasons as we move from late Summer, to the Autumn and Winter months, supporting the care and tending of Bridgehouse Gardens Forest Garden and Community Planters.

Create and enjoy refreshments together as we harvest fruit, vegetables and herbs from the garden.

Led by local gardeners Ruby and Joana, all sessions are suitable for all ages, are drop-in and free to attend! Hot drinks included.

All workshops take place during our Meet at the Garden sessions, our regular weekly gardening sessions, Saturday 11am-1pm.

Important note for local residents: There are always some spaces reserved on the day for local residents without advance booking, allocated on a first come / first served basis. Bridgehouse Gardens is commited to prioritising spaces at workshops and activities for local residents living near the garden.

Key Access Info:

Location: Bridgehouse Gardens is located in a public space thoroughfare between Winslade Estate SE15, and underpass to Bridgehouse Meadows SE15. There are community planters & greenhouse, forest garden & Winslade Barn community space.

Toilet: A wheelchair accessible toilet is onsite at the garden through summer 2025. There are additional toilets at nearby cafes approx <5 away.

Wheelchair Access: The garden is located on a concrete tarmacked site. The forest garden is elevated and has an uneven wood-chip floor. We regret that our community greenhouse and Winslade Barn community space are not currently wheelchair accessible. We are fundraising to increase wheelchair access with ramps and level flooring.
