Garden Tool Care Workshop
Overview
Join us for a practical and mindful gathering, open to beginners and all amateur indoor and outdoor gardeners.
We’ll take a seasonal time out together to carefully clean, sharpen and oil our used garden tools so that they are in good condition ready for the new season.
Garden tools can be expensive and will deteriorate if not cared for properly, so Carol will share tips on how to buy, use and care for your garden tools, to prolong their life, save money, and keep yourself safe. When to spend money on the best you can afford and when to save your pennies? Which tools you can do without? How to use and store your tools to prolong their life and keep yourself safe?
We will provide:
- all tools and materials
- refreshments
What to bring:
- several garden tools in need of cleaning and sharpening
- gloves and clothing suitable for messy work
- £5 in cash to buy a garden tool care kit, if you wish (wire wool, whetstone, oil)
Your host
This relaxed pace, small group workshop will be led by Carol Lahey: local gardening professional and popular Simply Repair workshops tutor. You can find out more about Carol on Instagram.
