Garden trug weaving workshop
Create your very own garden trug using traditional weaving techniques. Learn about different types of willow, how they are grown and processed, and the tools you need for basket weaving.
During the day you will learn and practise a variety of different weaves. You will construct an oval base using a pairing weave, followed by waling, packing and weaving a boarder. Top it off with either a bow or driftwood handle and leave with a beautiful, unique trug. This event is perfect for beginners and seasoned weavers alike.
All materials are included in the course price and tools will be provided.
Throughout the day refreshments will be provided including a delicious lunch. Please arrive in time to start promptly to ensure you have time to finish your basket.
