Event description

Description

Most of the weeds that drive gardeners crazy are actually amazing plants with a multitude of uses - from food and medicine to important allies in combating pests and diseases in the garden.

In this session, we’ll discuss how to utilise these wonderful resources that pop up in our gardens rather than treating them as a useless nuisance. It will include an overview of edible (and delicious) weeds, herbal teas and tonics you can make from plants growing in your garden, the ones to watch out for and avoid, how to use weeds to make plant feeds and disease control preparations for your plants, and tips for composting weeds.

Trainer - Camila Barboza

Camila is a Grower and Community Gardener working on a number of projects across London, including Hackney Herbal and Urban Organic. She is endlessly fascinated by the world of plants and loves sharing this passion with others.

If you have any mobility requirements, please contact capitalgrowth@sustainweb.org before booking to discuss your particular needs.
