Capita operates the Gas Safe Register, the official UK body ensuring all gas engineers are legally qualified to work on gas appliances, replacing CORGI in 2009. Capita manages the list, inspects engineers, investigates illegal work, and runs public awareness campaigns to protect consumers from dangerous gas work in the UK, Isle of Man, and Guernsey. By law, all gas businesses must be registered, and you can check an engineer's status on the Gas Safe Register website by their ID card or registration number.
