About this event

The RSNO’s National Schools Concert Programme is back in 2021 – and this time we’re going digital!

Join us for a special concert - beamed straight into your classroom - featuring the Royal Scottish National Orchestra, narrator Zeb Soanes, presenter Lucy Drever, and a rather special fox... Gaspard the Fox and a host of engaging characters are out in force again and this time they have been set to music!

Alongside the digital concert, you will have access to accompanying resources, an online workshop with Lucy Drever, and teacher CPD.

Dates and Details

Please note: all sessions will take place online. Shortly before the programme commences, you will receive an email with a link to a password-protected website where the resources and the concert film will be uploaded on the dates below.

10 May 2021: Gaspard’s Foxtrot in Concert

Gaspard’s Foxtrot will go live on 10th May! You can tune in then, or catch up later as all of the digital material will be available for the rest of the school term for you to use.

About the Concert

Gaspard accidentally boards a bus and has a thrilling fox-eye view of the sights, sounds, and smells of London, but how will he ever find his way back home? At Hyde Park he discovers a concert celebrating London’s wildlife and gets a surprise when a familiar-looking conductor walks out on stage…

Brought to life by Jonathan Dove’s wonderful composition, Gaspard’s latest adventure is the perfect introduction to classical music for primary school pupils in P3 – P5.

The film will be around 35 minutes in length.
