Come and ride Gatescarth as a volunteer marshal

About this event

Once a month the TRO on Gatescarth Pass is lifted and 18 permits are available for motorcycle riders and 12 permits for 4x4 drivers. These permits are obtainable from LDNPA and have to be booked in advance.

Our role as TRF on the day is as volunteer marshals. We attend the day and check that all the permits are valid for the riders and offer any advice and assistance we can. At the same time we get to ride this iconic lakeland pass. while doing so we are ambassadors for our sport and we stop ands talk top walkers, runners and cyclists explaining what is happening. Glass representatives are on hand to assist with the 4x4 vehicles.

This pass is a demanding ride and both the bike and rider must be ready for it. This is definitely not a pass for novices and if you are unsure please message me before applying.

On the day you will need to be self sufficient and take packed lunch and drinks as well as being prepared for what the weather will throw at us.

It is a great day out both socially and as a ride
