Stop Smoking New Advisor Training

The Stop Smoking Service is a successful initiative to support the people of Gateshead to quit smoking. Advisors wishing to deliver a stop smoking service should attend this two-day course to gain the knowledge and skills to support smokers who wish to quit smoking. The course covers national and local smoking demographics, full training around Nicotine Replacement Therapy (NRT) and stop smoking medications as well as the basic principles of behavioural support. This course also covers paperwork, monitoring and any contractual requirements of delivering a stop smoking service within Gateshead.

This course is for people working in Gateshead, wishing to deliver a stop smoking service within their workplace and have a contract in place to do so.
