About the speaker

Shar Khentrul Rinpoche Jamphel Lodro was born into a nomad family in the Golok Region of Eastern Tibet. As a child he was recognised as the reincarnation of the great Kalachakra Yogi Ngawang Chözin Gyatso. He trained in every school of Tibetan Buddhism over a number of decades and was awarded the title ‘Master of all Traditions’ by His Holiness the Dalai Lama. Eventually Khentrul Rinpoche settled in the Jonang tradition, which upholds the intensive practice of Kalachakra Tantra. He is now a specialist in its profound methods and is known for his direct and pragmatic teachings, as well as his books on Kalachakra and Buddhist Philosophy.
