About this event

Engage your senses and connect intentionally with the natural world. In this outdoor workshop, you’ll explore the textures, sights, and sounds of the park. Then through a series of guided exercises, transform these sensory stimuli into movement and feeling.

Sense + Collect

After a breathing exercise to ground us, we’ll go on a short guided walk, noticing the environment around us and documenting the shapes, textures, and feelings that come up.

🌿 Reflect + Transform

We’ll explore what we have gathered on our walk through a series of drawing-based exercises. These are designed to help us go deeper by transforming objects and textures into more abstract forms.

💃 Move + Flow

After a short break, the second part of the workshop will involve joyful, embodied movement inspired by our drawings. Think of it as creative play meets moving meditation, all held under open skies.

We will end with a final breathing exercise and a picnic-style reflection circle - leave feeling more rooted, present, and alive!

No experience needed, just bring your curiosity.

🙋‍♀️ Meet Your Facilitators

Heidi – Digital Designer & Creative Facilitator

I’m Heidi. I began running craft workshops after Covid to build a creative community in my local area. Wellbeing and sustainability were key pillars of these sessions, with an emphasis on process over completion, and using found materials.

Over time, I have combined this approach with my work as a designer, using hand making and embodied art practices to explore the physical and digital world around us.

Over the last three years, I have set up a monthly collage club, run craft workshops at tech conferences, and facilitated making sessions at festivals.

Aditi Kaushiva – Movement Facilitator & Founder of Move to Thrive

Hi, I’m Aditi, a movement artist and founder of Move to Thrive, a wellness practice rooted in movement, mindfulness, and nervous system care. After 15+ years in dance, a high-pressure career in banking, and building an 8-figure e-commerce business, I hit burnout hard. That’s when I returned to movement, not as performance, but as medicine.

Now, I guide others to reconnect with their bodies, release stress, and rediscover joy through mindful, expressive movement, breathwork, and community connection. My approach blends Indian philosophy with playful embodiment and emotional healing.

In the past year, I’ve led workshops for Google Cloud, Creative Mornings, Wellnergy Festival, and in community spaces like LGBTQ+ Community Centre and St. Margaret’s House, always with one goal: to create safe, inclusive spaces where we can move, feel, and thrive together.

Let’s move through what weighs you down—and dance into your aliveness.
