Event description

Description

Join Gavin McClurg for a special talk and screening of 'North of Known', the new paragliding adventure film documenting Gavin McClurg and Dave Turner as they attempt a full, unsupported traverse of the remote Alaska Range by foot and paraglider.

The team faces endless extreme weather, starvation, grizzly bears, uncrossable rivers and countless glaciers in one of the world’s most remote and inhospitable mountain ranges.

After 37 days Gavin McClurg completed the expedition solo and became the first person to traverse the Alaska Range by paraglider fulfilling a dream he’d been chasing for six years.

Gavin will be at the Flight Park for one night only. Join him as he tells the story of the expedition, watch the film, and hear firsthand about his adventures in Alaska and beyond. He is as inspiring and entertaining as they come.

Gavin is a former US Paragliding Champion, a record holder, National Geographic Adventurer of the Year 2015, a Red Bull X-Alps athlete and a prolific writer and podcaster.

50% of the ticket proceeds will go to the Free Flight Foundation.

Tickets will be limited so please book early.

Hosted by Cross Country Magazine and Jocky Sanderson's Flight Park.
