Led by Dr. Chinmay Pandya from Dev Sanskriti Vishwavidyalaya (India)

During the auspicious days of Navarātri, when the Divine Feminine is most alive in the hearts of devotees, we gather in sacred presence to receive the Gayatri Dīkṣā — an initiation into the radiant light of the Gayatri Mantra, the mother of all Vedic mantras.

This is not merely an event. It is a rite of passage, a moment of inner communion, where the seeker is gently guided into the stream of ancient wisdom through a living lineage. The initiation will be lovingly conducted by Dr. Chinmay, a respected teacher and scholar rooted in the Vedic tradition.

The Gayatri Mantra is a mantra of illumination, clarity, and inner awakening. To receive it in the sacred window of Navarātri — a time of transformation, devotion, and remembrance of the Divine Mother — is a blessing beyond measure. The initiation will include teachings on the meaning, pronunciation, and significance of the mantra, a purificatory ritual, and a clear sankalpa (intention) to begin or deepen your personal sādhanā.

This is a call for sincere aspirants who feel ready to step into a path of devotion, discipline, and inner radiance.

What is an initiation?
An initiation is when a teacher gives you a mantra and blessing in a sacred way, so you can begin a committed spiritual practice. In the case of Gāyatrī Dīkṣā, it’s the initiation into chanting the Gāyatrī mantra for wisdom and inner light.

Dr. Chinmay Pandya
Dr. Chinmay Pandya is the grandson of the revered Pt. Shriram Sharma Acharya (1911–1990), one of India’s most influential scholars, seers, and philosophers, and founder of the All World Gayatri Pariwar — a socio-spiritual movement with over 100 million members and thousands of centres worldwide dedicated to social reform.

A medical doctor by training, Dr. Pandya completed his studies in India before moving to the United Kingdom, where he earned Membership of the Royal College of Psychiatrists (MRCPsych). During his distinguished career in the British National Health Service, he served as Associate Specialist in Older People Services at the West London Mental Health Trust, specialising in the treatment of Alzheimer’s-related dementia.

In 2010, answering an inner calling, Dr. Pandya returned to India to serve as Pro Vice Chancellor of Dev Sanskriti Vishwavidyalaya (DSVV), a unique university integrating modern education with ancient wisdom. He is also Editor of Dev Sanskriti, an interdisciplinary international journal, and Director of DSVV’s School of Yoga and Health, where he advances scientific and philosophical understanding of yoga, meditation, and stress management.

Dr. Pandya has chaired the International Festival of Yoga, Culture, and Spirituality and convened numerous national and international colloquia on diverse themes, from indigenous rights to water sustainability. His leadership extends well beyond DSVV — he serves on the Governing Body of the Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR), advises India’s Ministry of AYUSH, contributes to the National Council for Teachers’ Education, and represents India in UNESCO cultural initiatives. He is also one of the few global leaders invited to serve as a judge for the prestigious Templeton Prize.

An inspiring educator, spiritual leader, and physician, Dr. Pandya continues his psychiatric practice on a pro bono basis, embodying his lifelong commitment to service, knowledge, and human wellbeing.
